For the past several years, GAR has dedicated the month of October to “giving”. We recently completed our Annual Food Drive by donating more than 16,000 lbs. of food to 7 Food Banks in Hood County.

Last week, GAR and its Members donated $5,000 to Neighbors Feeding Neighbors. GAR conducts an annual fundraiser combining -supporting the Community while investing in TREPAC- each year. Thomas Lyssy, Past President of Neighbors Feeding Neighbors stated “Your donation of $5,000 will go directly to buying Turkeys that will go into our Christmas Baskets that we will be giving out in December at our monthly community food distribution.” GAR is honored to be a part of this very worthwhile endeavor. This year, with an investment in TREPAC from its Members, GAR was able to contribute to Neighbors Feeding Neighbors – as well.

The 2021 Food Drive is complete! The Members of GAR once again demonstrated how generous and giving they truly are! More than 16,600 lbs. of food was contributed. That is truly AMAZING!

Winston Properties is once again the “Brokerage Office” Champion. They contributed 4,650+ lbs. and Benchmark Mortgage is the “Affiliate Office” Champion with a donation of 768+ lbs.

The “giving spirit” of the Members is very apparent and the 7 Food Banks in Hood County will be thrilled when they pick up the food for the pantries!

GAR held its Affiliate Appreciation Event last night and it was a huge success!

The Event was held at Pastafinas and approximately 70+ Realtor & Affiliate
Members attended. A buffet of appetizers was provided and everyone
had an exceptional time – especially during the drawings for FABULOUS
prizes.

During the Texas Association of REALTORS Board Officers & Leadership Conference, GAR was recognized in 2 separate categories for its participation and fundraising efforts for TREPAC!

2nd Place in Quota
