GAR – December Sponsor for Community Pantry (part of Neighbors Feeding Neighbors)
The Granbury Association of REALTORS® are the December Sponsor for the Hood County Community Pantry.
GAR donated $5,000 to Neighbors Feeding Neighbors for the December Holiday Bags.
On Friday, December 1st the Community Pantry Distributed over 12,000 lbs. of food from the Tarrant Area Food Bank to 268 families in Hood County. In addition to the food, Neighbors Feeding Neighbors used the donation from GAR to purchase small hams for each “Holiday Food Bag”. The food in the “Holiday Bag”, was donated by several churches in the area.
There were numerous volunteers to pass out the food and Holiday Food Bags. GAR had 25 volunteers and the Granbury 1st United Methodist Church had 29. Stars Learning Center had 17 volunteers and the Jr. Optimists had 18.
What a great way to kick-off a month of giving.

The Community Pantry – in Hood County – bagged and distributed 10,606 lbs of food on November 3rd.
199 families from Hood County received that food.
GAR’s Food Drive helped add to that distribution!
GAR will be the Sponsor for the month of December.
The Pantry will distribute its annual “Holiday Food Bag” on Friday, December 1st.
GAR & its Members will be providing a donation to Neighbors Feeding Neighbors to buy small hams to be given with each food bag.
We need your HELP! If you would like to volunteer to assist the Community Pantry in Bagging the food and distributing it to those in need – please join us at the:
Granbury 1st United Methodist Church at 7:30am on Friday, December 1st.
The church is located near the intersection of Loop 567 & Rt. 51.
Entrance is from either Rt 51 or the loop – do not get in the food line w/the cars near the Rt 51 entrance.
Food distribution will be complete by 10:30am.

A HUGE Thank you to Sean Rogers and Granbury Junk Removal.
He removed 30 1-gallon paint buckets and 7 5-gallon paint buckets
that have been sitting in the Association’s Attic since 2008.
